At WestEnd investing is a three part system,
beginning with what you want and then working to promote
those goals, this can be seen in three main ways:
Consultation and
Preliminary Goals
An initial consultation with the client
and one of the portfolio managers occurs to determine
investment needs and risk profiles. Once clients needs
and wishes have been determined, we decide upon an investment
strategy for each client.
Understanding
Investments and Research Methodology
Our investment decision are driven by a
combination of general economic research, specific company
research that can include company visit, discussions with
management, input from trusted brokers and general market
information. Specifically, the focus is on: economic research,
company research, broker reports and market information.
Investment Strategy
This chart
sums up our investment strategy and practice. WCM can
invest in any stock, and we do not require a minimum liquidity
or market capitalization. WCM can invest in foreign shares
(provided they trade in the US) so that we do not assume
currency risk. We have set up stringent buy and sell disciplines.
There are different levels of diversification for individual
accounts: value/growth (so that we can participate in
all market trends regardless of what is driving them),
sector/industry allocation, market capitalization and
individual stocks. WCM constantly monitors its holdings
to see if reallocation is necessary.
